One thing that stood out to me reading the results of the preliminary online survey is that many of my students would like to know if there’s going to be way to communicate the effectiveness of remote teaching at some point in the middle of the quarter. I think it’s a great idea, and it’ll be really helpful if the Teaching Center could design some kind of online midterm evaluation that we can all use to address this shared concern among students. A mechanism like this seems especially needed given that the usual pedagogical support such as in-person observation with a teaching consultant will not be available.
